Springboard Education Australia

IKEA HOLDS THE KEY TO YOUR SUCCESSFUL TEACHING PROGRAM

Bring learning to life

Springboard Education Australia provides schools and students with an interactive, hands-on approach to learning through experiencing a real life business in action.

Established in 2007 with the purpose of providing engaging resources to teachers of business studies in Queensland, our resources are designed to help students connect theory with reality by studying businesses they interact with in the community.

By analysing the culture and practices of local and global businesses and understanding their challenges and successes, students will better grasp concepts taught in the syllabus.

What we offer

Working with IKEA, we have developed the following resources, available in various reasonably-priced packages to suit your teaching requirements.

IKEA Case Study
This comprehensive 20-page colour document covers the history of IKEA and many of the factors that have contributed to its outstanding success. It includes 20 analysis questions and answers for you to test comprehension or use for assessment.

IKEA Store Visit/Excursion
Students complete a 10-15 page workbook during the 2-hour store visit. Answers to the workbook questions are provided for teachers. Your school can visit either the IKEA Logan or IKEA North Lakes stores.

IKEA Multimedia Briefing
Our interactive 1 hour presentation can help students to better grasp numerous aspects of the IKEA business which relate to the syllabus. The briefing includes a presentation, TV commercials, photos and question time.

Louise Stainton Smith, Somerville House

“Thanks for a great excursion. Our students enjoyed visiting IKEA and viewing the business from a perspective other than a customer.

We were glad that IKEA could cater for such a large group of students.”

Student, Moreton Bay College

“Being at IKEA compared to the classroom was a fun way to learn. We got to explore and search for answers by trying to find them throughout the store. This gave us a good idea of how a business works and how it is run.”

Berenice Furlong, Centenary SHS

“Springboard Education offers a valuable program and the resources are so relevant to our topics of study. The presentation was extremely valuable information.”
